Michigan Public Health

  • The University of Michigan School of Public Health is the #2-ranked public health academic institution in the country, providing tailored curricular programs for both undergraduate and graduate-level students.

    As a marketing intern on the MarComm team, I create digital content that highlights the diverse voices and stories across the SPH community. My goal is to make public health more accessible and engaging at a time when bridging the knowledge gap between healthcare institutions and the public has never been more critical.

  • Craft engaging short form video reels that drive views, boost engagement, and grow followers across platforms.

    Leverage diverse content tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, and Capcut to produce cutting-edge video content for a national audience.

    Ensure brand alignment by making every project deliverable re-affirm the school’s reputation while reflecting Michigan Public Health guidelines.

    1. Project onboarding – Each week, I meet with my project managers who assign tasks, provide detailed resources, and outline timelines for each project.

    2. Content development – I gather footage for short video reels, draft scripts, create blog posts for the SPH website, or develop creative pitch ideas for social content to the MarComm team.

    3. Submission and feedback – I submit project drafts and receive editorial feedback from my supervisors, either through our project management database or directly in meetings.

    4. Iteration and skill building – I integrate feedback and document lessons learned, refining my use of specific tools and improving efficiency for future projects.

  • Through this role, I have strengthened my storytelling skills in digital media, gaining hands-on experience in utilizing social platforms to drive strategic marketing goals such as student recruitment and institutional reputation.


    Key successes have included driving a 20 percent increase in cross-platform followers and executing collaborative campaigns with University of Michigan social channels and athletic programs, including Michigan Wrestling.
